In an ever-changing world we are confronted with the good, the bad and the ugly. Yet so much reporting and analysis is rooted in the materialism and fear of an age that leaves our souls empty and crying out for a sense of meaning and belonging.

In regular blogs I offer spiritual commentary on current affairs and social trends, setting personalities and events against a spiritual backdrop of real but invisible forces. The purpose is to start new conversations because engagement and thinking outside the square can be a source of strength, healing and more purposeful living. The focus is on disclosing hidden causes of phenomena such as the taboo of death, social dislocation, gender issues, the growing number of addictions, global warming, the ethical challenges of new technologies (including genetic engineering and artificial intelligence), and Islamist terrorism. These perspectives are framed in terms of the new normal of the present-day apocalypse.
