Spiritual Scientist Mathematician Theologian

Welcome
Hi! Welcome to the website. My name is Stephen Cugley. I am a mathematician (Bachelor of Science), theologian (Bachelor of Divinity, Hons.) and spiritual scientist. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
I am a seeker of truth who has always found the need to find my own answers to the great questions of existence. This life-long journey of discovery has taken me from formal training in science, to mystical Christianity, and full circle to a holistic philosophy that I call spiritual science.
My research method combines intuition and original thinking with input from philosophy, natural science and the humanities. The aim is to translate the ancient and culturally foreign wisdom of the Bible into scientific and historical teachings that speak to the contemporary mindset.
The structure of the website reflects four major areas of interest that inform the body of my work. These are spiritual science, the secret history of biblical Israel, the rise of esoteric Christianity, and current trends shaping the world of tomorrow. I wish to share some of this knowledge with you through the website and perhaps other platforms.
The Four Branches of the Website Related to Hats
You could say that I wear four different hats.
The first hat has to do with my work as a spiritual scientist who probes the hidden layers of self and the natural world. The enigmas of life and human identity are explored, as well as astrophysics and human procreation.
My second hat belongs to a kind of ‘armchair Indiana Jones.’ I study the Hebrew Bible in conjunction with archaeology and ancient texts from the Near East. The quest is to decipher secrets encrypted in biblical legends so that the factual history of Israel can be revealed.
The third hat is of a detective investigating the Christ impulse and its reception in the first century. I then track the rise of esoteric Christianity by following clues associated with the medieval mysteries of the Grail, King Arthur and Rosicrucianism. Political and church histories written by the ‘winners’ are questioned and deconstructed, with exciting alternative scenarios proposed.
The fourth hat that I wear is of an intrepid blogger who opens up new conversations on world issues and trends set against a spiritual background. The blogs tease out underlying causes of current events that make the headlines.
